Gopal Chanachur began in 1998 in a modest kitchen in Bansdroni, South Kolkata, with a simple goal: make chanachur and namkeen the way Bengali households actually want it — fresh, hand-mixed, and full of flavour.

From a Bansdroni Kitchen to a Trusted Bengal Name
What started as a small-batch operation in 1998 has grown into a full in-house manufacturing unit, still rooted in the same Bansdroni neighbourhood in Kolkata where it all began. Over the decades, we've stayed true to one principle: everything we sell is made by us, in our own facility — no outsourcing, no white-labelling, no shortcuts.
Today, that means over 20 varieties of chanachur, namkeen, sev, jhuri, papri, and roasted snacks, each roasted, mixed, seasoned, and packed under our own roof. It also means every recipe has been tasted, adjusted, and perfected by the same family that started it — because chatpata joy isn't something you can mass-produce without care.
